Change Our World For Good with Acts of Random Kindness

This morning started out as normal, I sat outside to have my morning red cappuccino and asked myself: what is my gospel? As a Blogger, there are so many Online Influencers since I am not there, yet – one would ask – “what’s the purpose of your writing?” I would say – “I blog to motivate parents to take Early Childhood Education more seriously, a green person wannabe (I really would like to live a greener lifestyle) but my first love is philanthropic work, being part of a community that promotes KINDNESS to humans, animals, and nature is my passion. I use the word KINDNESS a lot in my writing, check this latest post: Lesson 4 it’s because I truly believe KINDNESS is key to some of World’s problems.

Admittedly I sometimes get self-centered and forget my own gospel. Constantly I have to remind myself that people who receive KINDNESS are most likely to pass it onto others and in return, they look after nature and animals (it’s the cycle of life) So when others come up with creative social ways to promote KINDNESS, I jump for joy.

A couple of months back I came across a Facebook post from an organization called Change Our World For Good- Acts of Random Kindness. This really got me excited that my light bulbs went on in my head. It was so hectic that I couldn’t sleep, thinking of ways to get involved. First, let me tell you about this campaign so we (me and you) can get involved.

The purpose of this campaign is to promote KINDNESS. With all that is going on in South Africa and the World at the moment, there is so much negativity in the air, most of us are confused, sad, and angry. The ARK campaign will excite you as much as it excites me. Having a purpose that is bigger than me gives me so much joy. Since discovering the ARK campaign, I am more aware of people around me, kinda like I am not just physically there but also in touch with my emotions of sympathy, I now see people in need as people again not just disturbances or annoyance.

All you need to do is buy an ARK – fill it up with change – give it to someone less fortunate or a charity of your choice: pretty cool right? If you are wondering where to buy an ARK, most Nu-metros around South Africa and Sweets from Heaven stores keep stock or just head over their website to find other stores near you. With just R3 you can buy one for you, family, friends, colleague and… Hang on, first watch the ARK TV advert it’s the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time: ARK official TV advert

My personal suggestions for charitable foundations:

  • Sparrow schools are NGO schools that really on funds to run the schools, the school does such amazing work for the future of our kids. I know this first hand, my ex-employees daughter went there and now she has a skill that has set her for life. These schools can use all the funds they can get.
  • For all you animal lovers, your local SPCA are always a great option.
  • But then most of us know of someone who could use KINDNESS in a form of money.

Let us stand for KINDNESS!

This is such an awesome idea, reminds me of the bread loaf money tin we got as kids in Sunday school. The world needs more kindness.

Aaah… thank you for taking the time to read this post. How will I be able to do this if no one reads about it? I really appreciate it.
